We are beyond excited to spend an extended weekend with our friends and family celebrating our wedding. We know traveling abroad may not have been what you were expecting, but we have done the leg work to make the process super easy for you.

Diana (the bride) spent countless hours interviewing travel agents and in the end we partnered with an amazing travel agent, also named Diana.

She helped us secure discounted rates and a room block at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa, & Casino for our guests. We recommend you check in on Thursday, July 9th and check out on Sunday, the 12th or Monday, the 13th, but you are more than welcome to extend your stay.

If your plans change, you can cancel without worry. The deadline for the deposit is September 1st, 2025 and is fully refundable until February 9, 2026, so you can book with confidence.

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Does the travel agent price match?

Yes! Our travel agent, Diana, is actively monitoring for any eligible price drops. If there’s a lower rate available, existing reservations will be adjusted—no need to stress or keep checking. They’re committed to making sure everyone gets the best price available! You can also request price match by emailing groups@barefootbridal.com.

What if I don’t reserve a room by September 1, 2025?

We highly recommend putting down your deposit by September 1st to lock in the best rates and ensure you’re part of our room block. Deposits may still be accepted after this date, availability and pricing aren’t guaranteed. If you have any questions or need more time, let our travel agent, Diana, know and she’ll be happy to help!

Are children welcome?

While the wedding weekend activities are limited to adults and children in the wedding party, the resort is family-friendly and has plenty of activities for children of all ages. Check out the Hotel Catalogue linked above to learn more.

Can I bring a + 1?

No, unfortunately we can’t add anyone else to the guest list. We’re incredibly lucky to have so many people who love and support us, but we’ve reached full capacity and truly can’t accommodate more guests. We hope you understand. However, your plus one is more than welcome to join you at the resort and enjoy the trip with you!

If someone listed on the invitation can’t attend, would it be possible to invite someone else in their place?

Thank you for checking! Unfortunately, invitations are non-transferable and are specifically addressed to the invited guests. We appreciate your understanding. You are welcome to vacation with anyone you’d like, but wedding specific events are limited to the guests invited.

Can I book more than 1 room?

Yes, you are welcome to vacation with your family and friends and take advantage of the group rates.

When should I book my flight?

Flights to Punta Cana become available mid-August. We recommend booking early to avoid rising rates. Tip: Download the app “Hopper” to help you track the best time to book.

Do I need a passport?

A valid passport is required to travel to the Dominican Republic. Make sure your passport is up to date, and we recommend checking the expiration date to ensure it’s valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
